Graduation 2021
It was a beautiful Friday afternoon at the Imagymnasium. The forecast predicted thunderstorms, but the students and staff at the center were only met with sunshine. They came together to celebrate their very first preschool graduation ceremony, an event long awaited for after a challenging school year. Like all places, they were required to close due to the pandemic. It was hard on all individuals, but especially the young students, who thrive in an interactive environment. Despite these predicaments, Director “Miss Lena” and her teachers, “Miss Mary” and “Miss Mira”, persevered to provide the best education possible to each child. There is no doubt that they delivered because all graduates were fully prepared and even working above their age level for kindergarten. Many students are beginning to read, write, and work through math problems.
As Miss Lena beautifully stated in her speech to her graduates, “they took every single day in stride and brought us through this pandemic with their big smiles, infinite positivity, and love for learning”. It is easy to say that this is one of Harrison’s great pandemic success stories, and we truly look forward to seeing what this new little center has in store for our town.
